Your First Visit - Silicon Valley Orthodontics

What will happen at my first appointment with Dr. Wu at Silicon Valley Orthodontics?

We understand that embarking on orthodontic treatment is exciting, but can also feel a little confusing when it comes to understanding all the available options. Our caring team will welcome you to our custom built orthodontic office and skilfully guide you through everything you need to know. You do not need a professional referral to use our services, though referrals are always welcome.

Your first visit is about learning more about you and your needs. We will take a comprehensive dental and medical history, as well as assessing your soft tissue, skeletal profile, jaw and existing tooth alignment.

This assessment will also involve photography of the inside and outside of your mouth and any necessary CBCT scans.

What should I bring with me to my first appointment?

Your first appointment is the best time to take as many of your details as we can. Please remember to bring your completed Health History Forms, insurance card and any additional information regarding your insurance.

Your ongoing treatment plan at Silicon Valley Orthodontics

You should expect to be visiting Silicon Valley Orthodontics for a check up around 8-10 weeks apart, with appointments lasting up to 30-40 minutes.

If you need to reschedule or cancel any of your appointments, or you will be late, please let us know as soon as you can.

You should ensure you are still seeing your dentist and hygienist for regular check ups on your oral health, to ensure no other necessary treatments will impact on your orthodontic work.
