About Dr. Wu
Educated at the Universities of Pittsburgh, California and Pennsylvania, Dr. Wu is a highly respected and accomplished Orthodontist with several publications and patents to his name. Established since 2007, the team at Silicon Valley Orthodontics are renowned for their passion and skill in applying advanced technology. Dr. Wu remodeld his office from scratch after completing his training and built his business in the Palo Alto, California hometown he loves.
Highly educated, Dr. Wu has an incredible amount of knowledge as well as practical experience, with over 4000 lifetime cases of clear aligner treatment. He is a trusted advisor to Orthoclassic, who manufacture the Pitts 21 Bracket system of braces and a key opinion leader for uLab systems, the Silicon Valley-based digital clear aligner software company. An active member of the American, Pacific Coast and California Associations of Orthodontics, Dr. Wu also is a valued and respected member of both the Progressive Orthodontist Study Club and the Pitts Progressive Study club.
A native of Palo Alto, Dr. Wu is a family man, who enjoys biking and wine. Eric shares his life with his wife Lisa and their two children, Misa and Preston. He is fluent in Mandarin and speaks proficient German.
About Dr. Brungo
Dr. Brungo was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he was inspired by his father and grandfather, both general dentists. Watching the positive impact they had on their patients sparked his own passion for dentistry at an early age.
He earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh before attending the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health, where he received his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree along with a Certificate in Public Health. During dental school, he was honored with awards for excellence in esthetic dentistry and implant dentistry.
Dr. Brungo practiced as a general dentist for several years before choosing to specialize in orthodontics. He returned to the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health to complete his orthodontic residency, earning a Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics as well as a Master of Science in Orthodontics. He is proud to be board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, a distinction that reflects the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient care.
He is deeply committed to providing safe, personalized treatment and stays at the forefront of orthodontics through extensive continuing education. Dr. Brungo regularly participates in advanced training programs focused on esthetics, bioesthetic dentistry, aligner therapy, and comprehensive orthodontic techniques. He is also an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and several local and national orthodontic societies.
In 2023, Dr. Brungo and his wife, Dr. Samantha Bona — a pediatric dentist and Peninsula native — moved to the Bay Area. They have three children: Dominic, Avaryanna, and Gianna.
Outside the office, Dr. Brungo enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, hiking, cooking, and cheering on his favorite Pittsburgh sports teams.
